Ken Green - Principal / Senior Project Manager

Mr. Green is a Principal/Senior Project Manager with HSG Environmental Consultants, LLC.  He has over 29 years of experience working with industrial facilities in Arkansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Ohio, Wisconsin, Texas, Michigan, Nebraska, Virginia, Florida, Maine, Pennsylvania, and Louisiana.  He has specialized in environmental management including air permitting, compliance, and enforcement mitigation.  As a senior project manager, he has demonstrated accomplishments in a variety of projects related to air permitting, hazardous materials management, and the development of hazardous chemical database systems.

Experience

Air Permitting/Compliance
As a principal/senior project manager at HSG, Mr. Green has provided oversight on a wide variety of air permitting projects related to both new and existing facilities, including those sources subject to federal NSPS, NESHAP, and Prevention of Significant Deterioration (PSD) requirements. As a project manager, Mr. Green has successfully managed air permitting projects for over 10 different types of industrial facilities including power generation, organic/inorganic chemicals, aluminum refining, electrical equipment, fertilizer, wood/paper products, pulp and paper, aerospace, poultry, printing, mining/mineral products, renewable energy (biodiesel), and fuel storage. 

Mr. Green has prepared minor/major source air permit applications for new industrial facilities in Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana, as well as numerous permit applications for modifications to existing facilities in multiple states, including PSD and Title V applications. His experience includes conducting comprehensive air emission inventories and air emissions modeling related to the preparation of permit applications and developing compliance and related monitoring plans to ensure permit compliance. Recent projects have included emissions studies to determine site specific emission limits to comply with PSD Best Available Control Technology requirements.  

Mr. Green has extensive experience coordinating with regulatory agencies responsible for the administration and enforcement of air permits including negotiations regarding allowable emission limits, sampling requirements, enforcement actions, and the determination of major source permitting requirements. In addition, he has developed mitigation procedures to reduce the degradation of air quality. He has been an invited speaker at statewide industrial seminars on air permit preparation and negotiation.
